Please Obey the Posted Speed Limits
Good morning, Peachtree Corners!
Also, good morning if you don’t live in Peachtree Corners. We’re an inclusive and welcoming community. Come hang with us!
Just please obey the posted speed limits. Keep your opinions of our bridge to yourself. And don’t ask why a community overflowing with kids couldn’t keep a McDonald’s in business.
🙃
Let’s get to it.
Peachtree Corners Events
This is what’s going on in our town. But I can’t squeeze everything into this newsletter. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Check out the calendar for the full list.
Weekend Roundup
Friday, August 12th
The Forum hosts its weekly Friday Night Live with Hughes Taylor.
Anderby Brewing will lube you up so you can laugh with the Hissy Fit Comedy Show.
Fridays N’ Duluth boasts a bevy of food trucks, live music, and an “art walk” (in quotes because I have no idea what that means and I don’t want you to think otherwise).
Saturday, August 13th
The Peachtree Farm Stand is open. Buy some extremely local produce from this wonderful nonprofit.
The Town Green hosts another evening of live music with The Wildflowers, a Tom Petty tribute. Celebrate the master of three chords and great melodies.
Betty Mauldin Park in Norcross has Jazz in the Alley.
On Tap Next Week
Thursday, August 18th
Head to Kettlerock Brewing for Thirsty Third Thursday Paint & Pint. Talk about next-level alliteration.
Friday, August 19th
Thrasher Park in Norcross has live music from the Liverpool Legends. And no, it’s not a Gerry and the Pacemakers cover band.
It’s Friday, so there’s another Fridays N’ Duluth get down.
Saturday, August 20th
It’s time for the annual Light Up the Corners nighttime glow run. Hit me up if you need some neon to wear.
Anderby Brewing has live music from Across Town. They’re also from across town. Clever.
The Town Green is showing the Braves versus the Astros on the big screen.
Last week I ran a poll to determine the best school-themed movie. Within moments of the newsletter going out, I received the following reply:
“What? How can you not include Mean Girls?! Hands down the best!!”
Well, unnamed reader, that’s why I included a write-in option. And because of your aggression enthusiasm, Mean Girls wins the title!
Have a great weekend!
