Attack of the Killer Corks

This is completely irrelevant to any of this week's events. I just like the title. So you'll have to actually read the newsletter to find out what's going on this week!

I wish someone made neon-colored champagne.

Good morning! And welcome to another edition of Lifestyle PTC—the only newsletter endorsed by Biggie Smalls. As such, we recommend sipping champagne when you’re thirsty.

Just make sure you also hydrate with water. It’s still warm outside.

And don’t mention this at your next physical. 😉

Speaking of champagne, apparently more people die from taking corks to the face than from shark attacks every year. I’m not sure if that’s really true, but for the sake of needing content, I’m not going to dig into the details too much.

Alright. Hit my word count target. Let’s get to this week’s events!

Featured Event(s)

Nothing popped up this week that could dethrone Light Up the Corners or Uptown Funk.

So guess what? We’re gonna feature them again.

The fun run is for a good cause. And the fun band is for a good time.

You can’t go wrong!

Friday, August 11th

Saturday, August 12th

  • Light Up the Corners is the event of the weekend. It’s a party whether or not you’re running!

  • Uptown Funk will catch a grenade for ya—along with about 99 other ways to die—if you attend the Bruno Mars tribute show at Town Center. Maybe he’d take a cork to the face for ya too!

  • A1A, the Jimmy Buffett tribute, takes the stage in downtown Duluth.

  • And Joel Keeley plays at Cultivation.

Tuesday, August 15th

Wednesday, August 16th

Thursday, August 17th

  • The next installment in Norcross’s Summer Concert Series features The Ray Howard Band. Think “wedding party band.”
