New name. Same great (?) content.

Spring is here!

Flowers are blooming. Baseball season is here. The kids have no fewer excuses to stay indoors and play video games.

And the PTC Weekly is back!

Well, kinda. It turns out the “visionary” behind the name didn’t en”vision” how time consuming it would be to deliver a newsletter every week.

So here we are. Same content, different name. With no commitment to cadence.

I hope to send out a new issue at least monthly. The Corners is like three traffic lights big, so it’s not like I can’t cover a month’s worth of events in one issue.

But no promises. I don’t get paid for this.

Upcoming Events

The best thing about resurfacing for the first time in seven months is that expectations are low.

By the way, did you know there’s a formal equation for “happiness?”

So keep your expectations low and be happy with this short list of events.

Friday, March 24th

Head to Anderby Brewing and rock out to Five Long Years. Sounds like my first marriage.* Never heard of this band, but their logo looks like the old firebird from the hood of a 1979 Trans Am. So I’m picturing a lot of Styx and Supertramp covers.

*Sorry, love. I promise I was never married before you. I just really wanted to use that line. 😘

Saturday, March 25th

The next day, Anderby is hosting the LifeSouth Blood Drive from noon to 5:00. It doesn’t mention anything on the event page, but I’m guessing they’d prefer you wait until after giving blood before consuming. I’ll check and get back to you.

And Kettlerock Brewing has live music from The Good Sides at 6:30. They play a mix of rock, dance, funk, Americana, and “more.” Not sure what’s left.

Saturday, April 1st

Peterbrooke Chocolatier is hosting Bunny Hop at the Forum at 10:00 am. There will be an Easter egg hunt (naturally), pictures with the Easter bunny, and music by DJ Yvonne Monet. (That’s a throwback. Wasn’t she on Star 94 or something like that back in the ‘90s? Someone help me out here.)

Also, adults in Easter bunny costumes are a 9 out of 10 on the Creeps Me Out meter. Clowns are a perfect 10.

And that’s a wrap! Short and sweet. Gotta ease back into this.

But you can expect a newsletter more often than every seven months. And also less frequently than every week. Hence the rebranding to Lifestyle PTC. 🙃
