Who has the best margarita in town?

Let me know so I can try them all. Probably not all in the same day, though.

Good morning, all you beautiful people. Time to rise and grind!

My coffee beans. Time to grind my coffee beans. Any other use of the word “grind” gives me the heebie-jeebies.

And in case you’re wondering, here are a few other things that give me the heebie-jeebies:

  • Circus clowns

  • Rodeo clowns

  • Balloon animal-making clowns

  • Birthday party clowns

Apologies to anyone who has an affinity for clown culture.

Now let’s talk about queso and margs!

Peachtree Corners Event Highlights

Friday, el Cinco de Mayo

(Translation: May 5th.)

If you’re still reading this newsletter, you’re too late. There’s already a three-hour wait at every Mexican restaurant in town.

At least this most glorious of “holidays” is on a Friday this year. Some of my worst performances in the office have been on el seis de Mayo.

As far as Cinco de Mayo events go, downtown Norcross is hosting a celebration with margaritas, food, and live music. Check out the link for a list of all the participating businesses.

And Johns Creek kicks off its summer concert series on Friday night with September in the Park. They’re a 427-piece band that covers the music of Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago.

Saturday, May 6th

This Saturday is the one day a year when we all pretend to care about horse racing. I can’t find any formal Kentucky Derby events to highlight. If anyone wants to invite hundreds of strangers to their house, hit “reply” and give me some details to share.

At 7:00 pm, Town Center kicks off its Flicks on the Green series with Spirit Untamed, which has a horse in it. I see what they did there.

Saturday, May 13th

Next Saturday, Town Center features live music from The Geek Squad Band. But there’s nothing geeky about Motown, hip-hop, and top-40 hits. Sounds like a great start to the summer concert season!

The Best of the Rest

And here’s a quick rundown of everything else (I could find) that’s going on next week:

Even though I’m putting the salt on the rim of this newsletter on Wednesday afternoon, I’m already deep in thought about something near and dear to my heart: the best margarita in 30092.

Who makes it? What’s it called? Is there a special way I need to order it?

Let me know and I’ll share all the secrets in the next newsletter.

After I vet them all, of course.

¡Salúd!
