This Week is for the Moms
Because they deserve a whole week, not just one day!

Good morning, Happy Friday, and Happy Mother’s Day!
And let it be known that we were the first to say this to all the moms in Peachtree Corners. Sorry to steal your thunder, kids.
Also, you’re welcome for the reminder! If you’re looking for last-minute gift ideas, you can’t go wrong with flowers and a gift card for a spa day. Amazon is also pretty good at recommending gifts.
Warning: Do NOT buy one of those little stands that charges your phone, watch, AirPods, and nineteen other devices all at the same time.
Trust me 🙂
There’s plenty to do over the next week, so let’s run through it!
Highlights
Saturday, May 13th
Obviously, Town Center is the place to be on Saturday night for The Geek Squad Band. They look like the perfect kickoff to a summer full of free concerts. However, some of our more “seasoned” readers may be interested in seeing Jupiter Coyote at From the Earth Brewing.
I don’t remember any of their songs. And I don’t feel like contaminating my meticulously-designed Spotify algorithm just to jog my memory. But I know they used to play at college campuses and local festivals throughout the ‘90s. 🤷
Saturday, May 20th
If your kids love climbing on excavators and bulldozers, head up to Johns Creek for their annual Touch a Truck event. I’ll also be driving my beat-up F-150 around Peachtree Corners. Your kids are welcome to climb on that too. However, it hasn’t been cleaned in at least two years. Because KIDS.
That evening, Town Center has Sports on the Screen with the Atlanta United v. Chicago Fire. Rise up!

Yes, I know “Rise up” is a Falcons thing. But they haven’t been “rising” or anything else that implies an upward, improving trend in years. So maybe the United should try it out.
Have a great weekend!
