Back and Better Than Ever! True Story!
For the Week of October 10, 2021
This Week in Peachtree Corners
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder."
- Someone Who Never Tried to Build an Email Newsletter
Hi there. Hope you didn’t forget about your favorite source of weekly entertainment paired with the inside scoop on what’s happening in Peachtree Corners. Even if that “inside scoop” is really just me scouring local calendars, websites, and Facebook for event info. And also if “weekly” sometimes turns into “monthly.”
Whatever. No excuses. Let’s dig in!

Peachtree Corners Events
Here’s what’s happening in and around Peachtree Corners. Check out the calendar for a full list of events.
Saturday, October 9th
The Forum is hosting its monthly Artisan Row event at 11:00am. Go support all the talented folks who build things by hand like jewelry, clothing, pottery, soaps, and iPhones.
And it’s football season, which means Sports on the Screen. This week it’s a border war as UGA takes on Auburn at 3:30pm. Hoping to hear some heated…err, “spirited”…discussions between neighbors/former friends.
There’s no overlap, so whoever runs these events should maybe consider starting at 12:30pm with the Georgia Tech v. Duke game. That’ll get the blood pumping leading into the main event. (And I know you read this. Make it happen.)
Wednesday, October 13th
The Forum is hosting a Community Blood Drive. This is a great opportunity to find out your blood type if you’re 42-years old and still don’t know it. Also, I’m pretty sure they’re bringing in a bunch of vampires to collect the blood. Don’t worry, they’ll be wearing masks.
Saturday, October 16th
Time for more Sports on the Screen! And guess what? They’re showing Kentucky v. UGA. Shocking. However, the game starts at 7:00am. Don’t ask me why. And also don’t double-check me. Just trust me and show up.
Johns Creek Arts Festival
Saturday and Sunday, October 16th and 17th
Johns Creek is holding its 9th annual arts festival in the giant field across the street from the Atlanta Athletic Club. 130 artists from all over the country will be showcasing their creations including paintings, metalworks, pottery, and “yard art.” Not sure what that is. I’m guessing it’s those gigantic “Happy 50th Birthday Melvin!” signs that take up the whole front yard and cost hundreds of dollars for one day of use before you get a HOA violation.
Oh, and rumor is if you spend over $100 at the festival you get a free round at the AAC plus $200 in clubhouse credit.
Don’t double-check me on that, either.
Anyone who replies to this email with “Go Dawgs” or barks at me on the street will be unsubscribed.
Just kidding. I need all the subscribers I can get.
In fact, tell all your friends about this Pulitzer-nominated literary masterpiece.
Ahhh. Feels good to be back. Let’s try this again next week!
